Guam Scholars is an independent educational resource for students, families, and other visitors looking for scholarships, programs, competitions, college information, and related opportunities. I respect your privacy and aim to collect as little information as possible.
You can use the contact form at the bottom of the site to suggest an opportunity, report an update, or send a question. When you submit the form, I receive the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, and message. Name is optional. Email is required so I can reply when a response is appropriate.
Please do not send sensitive personal information through the form. This includes Social Security numbers, student identification numbers, account passwords, financial information, medical information, application documents, or anything else you would not want sent by ordinary email.
I use messages only to review suggestions, correct information, consider opportunities for the site, and respond when appropriate. I may not be able to respond personally to every submission. Only I can access the messages I receive through the form. I keep messages only for as long as I decide they are needed to review, respond to, or address the submission, then I delete them.
Guam Scholars is hosted through GitHub Pages, and the contact form is processed by FormSubmit. These services may process technical information needed to host the site or deliver your form message under their own terms and privacy practices. This notice does not control their independent practices. You can review the GitHub Privacy Statement and FormSubmit Privacy Policy for more information.
Guam Scholars uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand broad website activity, such as page views, referral sources, device and browser information, general geographic area, and how visitors move through the site. I use these reports to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site. GA4 may use cookies or similar technologies and processes information under Google’s own privacy practices. You can review Google’s Privacy Policy and manage cookies through your browser settings.
I do not use GA4 to sell personal information, create visitor accounts, or provide advertising targeted to you. I do not intentionally send the contents of contact-form messages, passwords, student records, financial information, or other sensitive information to GA4.
The Support Site page links to Ko-fi, a third-party service for optional contributions. If you choose to visit Ko-fi or make a contribution, Ko-fi’s own privacy and payment practices apply. Guam Scholars does not collect, process, or store payment-card, bank-account, or other payment details on this website. You can review the Ko-fi Privacy Policy for more information.
Guam Scholars links to scholarship providers, colleges, test providers, YouTube channels, books, and other external resources. If you follow one of those links, that organization’s privacy practices apply to its own website. The site does not embed social-media feeds or videos; links open the external resource directly.
Guam Scholars does not operate user accounts, sell personal information, collect payment details directly, or run third-party display advertising. If I add an advertising service or another service that materially changes how visitor information is handled, I will update this Privacy Notice before or when that change takes effect.
Guam Scholars is intended to be useful to high-school students and their families. The site does not ask visitors to create accounts or submit sensitive personal information. If you believe a young person has sent personal information through the contact form and you want it deleted, please use the form to request deletion as described below.
If you want me to correct or delete a message you previously sent through the form, please use the same website form. Include the email address you used and the approximate date of your submission so I can locate it. I will make a reasonable effort to address the request when I can.
I may update this notice as Guam Scholars changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
